Is an upgrade possible that would allow me to use etsy mini code
-
Hello:
I recently registered my domain with wordpress.com before I realized that I would not be able to add an etsy mini to my sidebar. This creates a real problem for me. Is there some sort of upgrade I can purchase that would allow me to insert the javascript mini code into my sidebar? I have found from searching the forums that this is a problem for a lot of people. Do you suppose this will ever be resolved or do I need to transfer my newly registered domain? Thank you. Dixie Haynes

I’m sorry but the workaround that used to work no longer works now. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-and-where-to-post-the-etsy-mini-code?replies=4#post-937853 See here for uploading an image and placing it in a text widget http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/ There is no upgrade that will allow you to post JavaScript, iframes, forms or other restricted codes. To use that widget you would have to hire a web host and set up your own WordPress.org install.

Thank you for the quick response. I take that to mean there are no plans at wordpress.com to make this feature available. What a shame. I would imagine a lot of people would pay for that upgrade. Thank you for your time.
