Is art considered "mature content"

So I am a transgender woman of faith and recently started a blog to discuss my musings online. The majority of posts will be PG but I am a very open person and generally against censorship.

As an artist, the human body comes up often as subject matter. I would like to open a dialog about certain topics, women’s issues, ect as well as showcase some of said artwork.

Most art sites I have been a part of that allow mature content have an option to “flag” individual posts as mature. However it is difficult to make commentary on said sites.

I want to be free to discuss mature topics without flagging my entire blog as mature and thus severely limiting my audience.

Is there a way to enable a content flag on blog posts? Or do i need to create a separate site to discuss mature themes. Thank you.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi, we don’t have a way to flag individual posts, currently. If you’re unsure whether folks would flag the content as inappropriate for younger users, you could password protect the post content if you wanted to, put it under a “premium” block, or make it private so only site members could access it.

As for whether art is mature or not, of course that can be subjective. I’d recommend reading this through to see if it’s helpful:

Ultimately, if there’s an issue it will be up to our TOS team to resolve it, and as forums staff I wouldn’t be able to make the judgement call there. But I do think the document may help you.
