Is Askimet broken today?

  I’ve had three of my regular commenters snared by the spam filter today. This has never happened before. Anyone else having this problem?

  I’m all too familiar with waves of spam. But those commenters aren’t spammers. I can understand an occasional false positive, but three different commenters in one day is unprecedented. I’ll check out the link you gave. Thank you.

  I’ve had a total of 571 false positives in nearly 4 years. Is this a record? :-)

  This is a follow-up so that the thread won’t end in a mystery. I used the link that timethief provided and told Askimet about the problem. They requested the email addresses of the wrongly-blocked commenters, which I provided. Then they replied that there shouldn’t be any more problems for them.

  I wasn’t told if those people had been included in Askimet’s blacklist, so I still don’t know what went wrong. But Askimet gives speedy service. I’ll mark this thread as “resolved.” Thanks for the help.
