Is closing and deleting account the same thing?

  Is closing and deleting account the same thing? I have two sites linked to one email ID but I only want to delete one of those sites. Please let me know if I can do this and retain the other site.

  Closing an account deletes all the sites created with that account. Best thing is just delete the site you don’t want. Better still if that site is a free WordPress.com one then don’t delete it. Set it to private as you may find a use for it in the future if only as a test site.
