Aside from a blog being accepted into WordAds, http://www.wordads.co/ no blogger initiated advertising, retailing or reselling the work or products created or services provided by anyone other than yourself is allowed on free hosted wordpress.com blogs. E-commerce transactions via shopping carts and the like cannot be conducted on free blogs from and being free hosted by wordpress.com

http://en.wordpress.com/tos/E-commerce isn’t currently possible here at WordPress.com as our free hosted blogs cannot be equipped for ecommerce transactions at this time but if you require e-commerce/shopping cart functionality, there are no restrictions on e-commerce if you setup a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a free hosted WordPress.com blog. If I have a website hosted by WP.com (so my domain is registered throough you and I have paid for mapping etc) , can I sell things of my own on it?
Classes, books, programs–can I put paypal or wepay buttons, or have a shopping cart? Can I include Amazon or other affiliate links?
Also, if I do the value bundle when signing up, can I continue to get that deal each year, or is it a one-time only promo offer?
Thank you.

While you can sell your work on your blog, no blogger initiated advertising, retailing, or reselling of work created or services provided by other people is allowed on WordPress.com.
This link will give you instructions for using a Paypal button on your blog:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/If you require e-commerce/shopping cart functionality beyond this, you might be interested in a self-hosted (WordPress.org) installation. There are no restrictions on e-commerce if you set up a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a WordPress.com blog, but there are some added responsibilities.
Please see this link to learn about the differences:

So I can sell my own stuff, but not post affiliate links.
Thank you very much for the quick response!
