Is elementor mandatory for some themes?

  Hello,

  I am interested in installing a theme for my WordPress site and am particularly interested in the riode theme. It talks about elementor support. Not very familiar with elementor. Do I need elementor to utilise the theme or is it just a nice to have? I don’t want to bloat my WordPress with unneeded plug-ins.
