Is Face Recognition/Tags Possible?

  I am working on a Website for a guy who is uploading hundreds of family pictures to his site. He wants (somehow) a face recognition feature that can identify faces and place a tag with name (sort of like facebook) so if you scroll over the face the name will come up. He wants this feature so people can know who the photos are of.

  Is this at all possible?
