Is following/subscribing a function on all blogs?

  I was looking at the Beacon Theme and a couple of others but what I didn’t see on the Live Demo was where a reader/follower would be able to Subscribe/Follow. That is a must for me. Are there only certain themes with that function?

  It can be. It depends if you use the widget or not.
