Is Godaddy domain name parked due to transition period between name servers?
-
I only saved two MX lines in DNS records: MX 0 smtp.secureserver.net. and MX 10 mailstore1.secureserver.net.
Am I supposed to save TXT, CNAME, A and SRV too?
I changed the Godaddy name servers with WordPress name servers prior to entering and saving the MX DNS records.
At the moment, when I type http://www.lamaisonbleueleura.com I end up on a Godaddy “This web page is parked….” page here: http://lamaisonbleueleura.com/?nr=1 .
Is the domain name parked because this is a transition period between name servers or because I have not entered and A, CNAME, TEXT and SRV records?
Thank you. :)

It can take up to 72 hours before nameservers changes are fully propagated. Can you please try clearing out your cache?
You can set your blog as primary at https://seamuswarren.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains

Thanks for the response. :)
I saved lamaisonbleueleura.com as the Primary domain before the new name servers had finished propagating. This initial save does not appear to have been retained because when I this morning entered lamaisonbleueleura.com into the address bar of the browser, the Primary still appeared to be seamuswarren.wordpress.com.
I went back into the dashboard and changed the Primary domain to lamaisonbleueleura.com and saved it again. The change seems to have been retained this time. :)
Domain was seamuswarren.wordpress.com, now lamaisonbleueleura.com. :)
It’s a tiny site with three main URLs at the moment:
1) http://lamaisonbleueleura.com;
2) http://lamaisonbleueleura.com/gallery/; and
3) http://seamuswarren.files.wordpress.com/2013/03/lmbl4.pdf.Is there any way I can do “http://seamuswarren.files.wordpress.com/2013/03/lmbl4.pdf” better? Can I mask the URL to the PDF file? The PDF is a printable flyer.
I just want the URL to the PDF to be something like http://lamaisonbleueleura.com/lmbl.pdf .
Thank you. :)

It appears in my case it was only necessary to enter the two “MX” lines.
I hope emails sent to (email visible only to moderators and staff) are still going to Godaddy for email forwarding the the actual hotmail account inbox. :)
What about the A, CNAME, TEXT and SRV records? Should I have used them for something?
Thanks heaps. :)
Happy now the URL seems to be associated with the WordPress name servers and seamuswarren.wordpress.com. :)
Still have to somehow hide the URL to the PDF. :)

The MX records will help forward your e-mail to GoDaddy. There’s no need to set any other records. It’s not possible to change the URL of the PDF. But instead you can create a page (eg http://lamaisonbleueleura.com/page) and include the PDF link in there. You can follow the steps in this guide on how to add a link to your page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/links .
Another alternative would be to embed the actual document into a post or page, you can use external services such as Scribd or Slideshare.

Thanks, :)
Signed up with Scrib’d and tested embedding but it puts a big line under the links. Make ’em look weird.
I will go have a look at “Slideshare” in a moment to see if it’s embedding is more attractive. :)
Might end up adding a PDF link to the top of the home page or add a new page as you suggest.
Thank you. :)
