Is Gravatar.com closed for new users?

  Nine hours ago, I tried to register a gravatar for an email address. I signed up for a new wordpress.com account (the one I am using now) and tried to log in.

  No result. All I get is: We’ve sent an email to (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  This is not true, they never sent that email. There is no spam filter on my mail server, and the mail account works fine.

  SO I am logged in with my wp account (third party cookies enabled), but gravatar does not accept it. Is it closed now? Is this a bug?

  I tried to find their contact page, but there is none, just a link to this forum.

  I would like to see an official response, so I can ask GitHub to switch to a different solution for profile pictures, because that’s where I need it.

  Staff work their way through support tickets and forum threads tagged for their attention by dealing with those that have the earliest date and timestamps first. Most Support Staff seem to live in North America and appear to like working bankers hours on week days with weekends off, so I’m sorry but you will have to wait for a response.

  Ehm, what happened to my ellipsis? The font here is broken too. It inserts a white space for the ellipsis. Worth a new bug report?

  It’s a good thing it’s not urgent because there is no such thing as urgent support here. lol :D I have answered questions here for over 7 years and you would not believe what some bloggers think is an urgent issue.

  Maybe you need to clear your browser cache or upgrade your browser version.

  Hi wpkrauts,

  Please go to http://wordpress.com and sign out using the drop down option under the silhouette of a head. Then try clearing your browser cache and then logging back in to Gravatar.com and see if it works for you. Since you have a WordPress.com account activated, you should be able to access Gravatar now.

  Hey, this worked! :)

  I swear, I have deleted the cookies multiple times when I tried that. I didn’t get the email (also not for this thread), but now it works as it should, so I’m fine.
