Is Hermes Theme Transferable?

  Hi,

  I purchased this theme and I would like to know if I can transfer it to shared hosting : https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/hermes/

  I am referring to the following note on this page :
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/premium-themes/

  Note: Premium Themes that are set up for WordPress.com use only cannot be transferred to self-hosted WordPress.org sites. Some Automattic-developed premium themes can be transferred to a self-hosted site at no charge, as part of a Guided Transfer. Please post in the premium theme forums if you’d like to know whether your theme qualifies.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins (passwords), features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  The Hermes theme is designed by Tasko. It is not a Automattic-developed premium theme so the answer is no, you will have to purchase the correct version for WordPress.ORG software directly from the theme designer.

  Timethief is correct – the Hermes theme is developed by Tasko. You could contact them directly to see if they offer any discount on the self-hosted version, since you also purchased the theme here – that is up to each theme developer.
