Is HTML Editor wacky–or is it just me?

  In HTML mode, I enter &bksp; and the Editor converts it to &bksp;

  Also removes my
  tags and the Editor substitutes blank lines, then DOES NOT go to the next line.

  What I tried to type was “editor converts it to &.a.m.p.;.b.k.s.p.;” (without the dots)
