Is it a bug that posts featured image do not show up in e-mail to subscribers?

  The featured image for my posts do not show up in e-mail to subscribers. I’m using Twenty Fourteen. I can’t imagine this is the intended behavior. Thank you!

  Hi there,

  Typically featured images don’t display in emails, only the images that appear in the body of the actual post. If you want your featured image to show up in the email, try inserting it somewhere in the body of the post as well.
