Is it a good idea to use a certain tag on every single post?

    My site’s content will be very specific to Bangkok and Thailand, and I suspect that many people looking for this content will be using “bangkok” or “thailand” in their search, either when searching wordpress or through a search engine. Would it be a good idea to include a “Bangkok” tag and a “Thailand” tag on every post, as well as 2-3 tags more specific to that particular post’s content, if that’s exactly what people will be looking for?

    I think if your blog is very specific it would actively help your rank in search engines.

    If and only if the tags are relevant to the posts my answer is “yes”. Also note that WordPress.com allows you to geotag your user profile and posts. That means you can assign an earthly location to your account and to each of your posts.
