Is it necessary to buy a book on WordPress?

  Hi all,

  I am wondering if it is necessary to buy a book on WP or should I be able to get all the necessary info here on the site.

  If you feel it is necessary to get a book, I would appreciate some suggestions. Eventually I want to build a site on WP, for now I am familiarizing myself with using WP for blogging.

  The only WordPress book I’m familiar with is for self-hosted blogs using the software from wordpress.org. It’s similar but different, in some ways significantly so.

  There’s plenty of material here, from tutorials to screencasts. Start with:

  Necessary, no. Both those resources ellaella pointed out are the very best information because they relate to WordPress.com

  If you read the on-site support documentation and the faqs, you’ll have everything covered.
