Is it possible that people can read my blog without having an account here?
-
Hey! I made a private blog. Just for my family and friends. No one of them has a WordPressaccount. If I invite them to read my blog they get the invitation and need to sign up. I don’t think that many of them will register here, just because they want to read my blog. But I don’t want it to be public. So what can I do, that my friends are able to read/view my posts? It is really important that only people I want to, have the chance to read it.
Is there any possiblity to keep my blog private via password? Thanks for your help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello!
I’m afraid, users will have to do a one time sign-up in WordPress to access private WordPress.com blogs they’re invited to. If signing up on WordPress is not an issue for them (it takes barely a few minutes, acutally), I would suggest you to keep your blog private.
However, there is a workaround.
You can actually password-protect individual posts of your blog.
In the post editor, on your right side – you’ll find an option to set a password to individual posts. You may share this password with your intended readers, so that they may read them.
However, please note that you cannot set a password on an entire blog. You can only set passwords for individual posts
There’s a detailed article on post-visibility in the WordPress.com support page that would walk you through the entire process:https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-visibility/
Hope this helps.
Cheers!
Hari.
