Is it possible to add a a jump at the top of my page to pieces of the article?
-
A page in my blog is getting a little too long so I was wondering if there was anyway to customize it so that it had some sort of a glossary at the top that linked to the portions of pertinent information on the page. I have seen it on Wikis, so I know it is possible, but can I create something like that for my blog?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes, you can use page jumps http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/page-jumps/ or even pagination next page. See here for instructions for all the ways to split content > http://en.support.wordpress.com/tag/split/
Hope this helps and wish you happy blogging. :)

It is amazing how prompt and helpful that reply was, but I must say that I don’t know how to apply to code. Where would I go on my blog page to set up the page jump. I have no prior experience for coding so please be patient.

I’m so sorry but I don’t have the time to teach you how to do this, and I have no better instructions than what’s avalaible in the support entry I linked to. :(The way I learned how to create page jumps was by following the instructions in the support entry I posted the link to, and by using tutorials I found online.

@ adventurealways,
To create the shortcut link use the following codes in the HTML section of your post/page;
This will create the jump link.
This will create where the jump starts.
Hope this help.

Oops.. the html code did not appear;
here it is again in an image format so you can see the code;

If not, point us to the page in question and I will tailor it accordingly.@phatpast: To display code here, you need to enclose it between backticks.

I realize now that all the information you are giving me is valuable and straight forward. My only problem is that I didn’t know to type everything in the “HTML” side of the log. I have never done anything like this before, so I am just trying to figure this new language out. Thank you all for the help, I think I can take it from here.
