I’d like to add a shopping cart or store, I currently have links to other sites like RedBubble, but that’s for prints, posters, cards, etc. I want to sell the original paintings from my World Press blog, can it be done?

No. WordPress.com blogs cannot be equipped for ecommerce. You can post a PayPal button and/or a contact form.

Thanks for the info – I was looking for exactly that information (though, sadly, it wasn’t the answer I was hoping for)!

Actually, it looks like the PayPal button will do nearly the same thing, from timethief’s informed response. I haven’t started yet but if I post a painting for sale and all the details and a PP button, I have the feeling they set up something you click on, equal to a shopping cart. I looked on my PayPal account, which I have separately, and they have chapter and verse on doing this too. So likely the buyer/seller gets the same particulars, spaces for shipping costs, address, commerce protection, etc. PP is very enterprising, and wouldn’t want to miss out on what they earn for transactions by being overly rigid. Good luck to us all.
