Is it possible to add a sidebar to a blog with only one column?

  Hi guys, I’m really really new to css and I’m kind of having a hard time getting my blog setup. I would like to have a second column on my blog but the blog I like the most only has one. Is there a way to change this? Is it going to be really complicated? Thanks guys! sorry if this is a dumb question :) Oh and my theme is Everafter
