Is it possible to add a table that doesn't wrap text in the middle of words?
-
I added a table to a webpage but when I click on preview, it adjusts the column width so that it wraps text in the middle of words.
Is there any way to make tables work correctly so that words aren’t split apart?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @asdrecovery, we’d be happy to take a look and make suggestions. Could you send a link to the affected post or page?
Also, sometimes folks will use a data table where they mean to use columns instead. If that’s the case, you might just try inserting columns to see if that makes a difference, since columns adjust better for smaller screens.

I was able to get the tables at https://autismcbt.wordpress.com/self-esteem/ to work correctly when I switched to one of the advanced themes.
However, when I used the defa
ult theme or any of the recomm
ended themes it wrapped the t
ext in the middle of words whic
h looked awful like it does here. Those themes wrapped text correctly
when using columns but the data
doesn’t line up correctly if you need
an actual table organized neatly in
rows. I think it would be a good idea
to at least get the default theme
working correctly so this issue won’t
discourage new users from using
Wordpress. -
Not all themes wrap words the same.
This can be adjusted for the theme you’re using via CSS: https://wordpress.com/support/custom-design/custom-css/
