Is it possible to add audio so that it plays uninterrupted over all pages?
I basically want to have audio that plays in the background and continues even when you switch a page. I don’t want a new audio player on every page (that will reset the playlist when you change pages). Is it possible to have one audio player that plays over all pages?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can share audio on your WordPress.com blog in a variety of ways. Note that, if you wish to upload audio files from your own computer, you will need to purchase the Space Upgrade.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/The WordPress player does not provide autoplay music. You can try an alternative player: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/12/05/alternative-audio-players/
Please note: autoplay is a major irritant for some people (myself included). Many of us will click out never to return again if we experience someone else’s musical taste and have not been given an option to listen or not. I never return to such blogs.

Hi, @timethief: Note this new paragraph in the support page
http://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/Note that, if you wish to upload audio files from your own computer, you will need to purchase the WordPress.com Premium or WordPress.com Business plans.

Oh really? As you and I know we used to be able to purchase space upgrades individually. It seems now we have to purchase bundles to get them. That’s BIG change and there was no announcement of that change made here http://en.blog.wordpress.com/ Maybe that’s why this thread was closed https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/available-upgrades-support-doc?replies=15#post-2045067

Beyond personal preferences (like timethief, many folks, including me prefer to choose the music we listen to and when), a blogger should consider:
- many people surf the internet at work so a blast of noise alerts fellow employees, supervisors, bosses, and others who don’t want to hear your music, often at inconvenient times…
- others may be using public computers such as in libraries, co-working spaces, or in the middle of the night with partners trying to sleep…
- it’s rude, un- professional, un-cool, un-stylish. and 2005-myspace-retro
lots of folks use mobile devices to look at sites, and lots of places where and when they do does mean that they would not appreciate a blast of noise to alert their companions that they are not “paying attention”

@tt
I don’t know about that. My point was simply that it’s not a good idea to force people to hear music they do not choose to listen to at a specific time.
I have subscribed to this thread to keep updated about the upgrade issue.

We’re testing a variety of things with upgrades at the moment, no decisions have been made, but of course complete documentation and listings will accompany any decision.

Please! Whatever upgrades are developed for making music automatically play throughout a site, please be sure it’s an opt-in option for readers. I mean, have an opt in to hear the music while viewing the site. -
Oh, that reply was just in general, I’m pretty sure there will never be a persistent audio update.

So what do we Volunteers do when blogger run into the you have to purchase a bundle to get the upgrade you want questions? Do we tag the threads for Staff to deliver the bad news or are we expected to do the delivery and risk being shot down as the messengers? -
You can still go to the old Store pages directly:
