Is it possible to change your domain name with the free wordpress version?

    So I’m using the free version of wordpress with my blog. I’m not very happy with the name of my blog, is it possible for me to change my domain? Or do I have to have the premium version?
    If it’s not possible, I had another idea: If I make another blog with the domain I wish, is there a way for me to make my current blog just automatically take the visitor to my new blog? If so, how?

    I hope you understand what I’m trying to explain. Please help.

    If you would like to change your WordPress.com site’s URL, there are options and instructions for doing so here:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/

    Please bear in mind that once changed, that site’s old WordPress.com URL will become permanently unavailable for future use. If you feel that you might need that URL again in the future, you might want to choose to create a new site rather than changing the name of your current site.
