Is it possible to close my website and move the domain name to my blog?

  I have a wordpress blog and a website hosted on Tiscali with My own domain. Is it possible to close the website and move the domain name to my blog? I do not want to map just move Domain name to the blog, so I am not constantly working on two sites. I do not even need the site I can use the one I have with the blog.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Lorelle thanks for the links but they do not really answer my question. My blog is wordpress and my website is hosted on tiscali.it I did some more researching about it on the web and found that I probably have to go to tiscali unlock my domain then go back to the blog and do the upgrade to the my domain name after purchasing in the store. But with tiscali it comes up as a transfer though the confused part I have is where is it getting transferred with the auth-code the blog or a website on WordPress. I only want to keep my blog with my personalized domain name. Am I correct in the process as to what I have stated?

  No. You cannot attach a custom URL to a WordPress.com blog without the domain mapping upgrade.

  WordPress.COM is not set up to accept incoming domain name registration transfers, you will need to keep your domain name registered with another registrar

  You need to map your domain name to your blog here $ 13.- / year.

  And don’t listen to the folks that will tell you to just forward & mask – that will mess up your SEO, use that only if you don’t want anyone to find your blog with a search engine.

  You want domain mapping, the sites linked to Raincoaster’s name and my name are domain mapped sites on WordPress.COM. Works great.
