Is it possible to different "Pages" with "Blog Posts"

    Hi,

I want to create “Pages” for that page I want to “Post” my blog posts.

I mean to say, want to create different pages with each page having its own posts.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Not sure what you’re asking to do. Sounds a bit like what I just did this evening on my site. By the way, your site is absolutely gorgeous. I’m way jealous.

By definition, each blog will end up as it’s own page with comments that are solely associated with that post.

If you’re looking to do different categories… that’s different. For example, I wanted a page dedicated to written messages “blogs” and a separate page for all of the music video blogs that I will have.

If any of that makes sense then I can probably help.

Yes, I am looking for this. To do different categories

How many different categories? I’ve linked mine to the main menu because I only needed 2. My site is still in development, but check out http://www.oneldsvoice.com

Notice that I have a main menu item called Inspirational Videos that links to one category of blogs that will be text-based and I have a main menu item named videos, that links to my blogs that are categorized as videos.

Too many categories using this method would pollute you main menu, but I’m sure we could get you to a sub menu if you needed that. Check it out. I’ll be here

Actually I meant one linked to inspirational messages and the other to the videos

    Thank u … :)

I am trying to understand As, I am new to blog. Even my blog was created 1 and 1/2 month back.

One more thing, even I created 2 menus, But at a time I was able to display only one menu. In my case I had two menus 1.primary 2.social. When I selected ‘Primary’ it only shows primary menu pages, And when I select ‘Social’, it shows only social pages.

How to get two menus at a time.

By the way I am not a computer guy, I was electronics background. Trying to get these things.

I’m actually seeing both menus on your homepage right now. Your main menu, “home, about, lensman, contact” with some cool icons and then down a bit, buy you blog about temple with 1000 supporters I see your social menu.

A blog is the same as a post. It is each time you submit something to discuss on your website. With each post will come the ability for others to comment. All those will be automatically linked to the original post

Each of those pictures and stories is a post or a blog

  • Hi @sivabandaru!

You can set up the different categories that @kdbowler described as Category Pages (I just replied to your thread recommending those @kdbowler, looks like you beat me to it!).

Your current theme, Expound, only displays one menu at a time.

If you’d like a second menu for social media links, you can use the Social Media Icons Widget in your sidebar, like you are doing now. You could also look into trying a different theme, and select one that has a dedicated Social Links Menu.

Here is a listing of those themes:

    Post vs Blog

This terminology can be tricky – generally speaking, a blog is a collection of posts – so your blog is all of the posts you have written (“posts” is short for “blog posts”).

This can be important, because if you say something like “I’d like to change the title of my blog” the understanding will be that you’re trying to change the title of your entire site (the entire collection of content) not just one individual post :)

Thank you … 😊, Now I got clarity.

Could you please suggest themes that have multiple menu’s to display, 2 or more.

  • Sure! Here’s a list of themes with more than one menu:

You can view the demo sites to see how they look, or post a new thread if you have questions on any of the themes specifically :)
