Is it possible to display visitor locations on my site?

Hi, I have noticed that some other bloggers have widgets that show where their visitors are located e.g. via a world map or flag counter.

I have been able to produce a world map using revolvermaps.com and the text widget but unfortunately this starts the visitor count from zero and ignores all prior visits to my site. Also, this only seems to work for their most basic map. When I tried with their 3D map using HTML it failed to work?

The ideal solution would be to display the internal WP statistics for my site on the actual pages. Is this possible at all.

    Thanking you in advance.

    Sean

    Hello there,

At this time we do not have a world map widget for your visitors. In regards to the 3D map, it may be that it is using a language that is not allowed in our system. If you’d like to paste it here, I can take a look and let you know for sure.

    Hi there,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. The HTML version of the 3D map is as follows:

    <div style=”text-align:center; margin:0px; padding:0px; width:220px;”><embed src=”http://rd.revolvermaps.com/f/g.swf” type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” pluginspage=”http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer” quality=”high” wmode=”window” allowScriptAccess=”always” allowNetworking=”all” width=”220″ height=”220″ flashvars=”m=0&i=3ljr0mc3utn&r=false&v=false&b=ffffff&n=true&s=220&c=ff0000″></embed>
    <img src=”http://jd.revolvermaps.com/c/3ljr0mc3utn.gif” width=”1″ height=”1″ alt=”” />Large Visitor Globe</div>

I guess displaying the internal WP stats is a no go then.

    Heya,

The code that they are trying to utilize makes use of the “embed” tag, which is on our list of tags which can’t be used in our system for security reasons:

    Add Code to Your Site

I’m afraid that method won’t work for you in this case.
