Is it possible to have a randomly generated background

Hey. I run a wordpress site where I publish my comic. My background image is a picture of one of my project that is displayed on the left side of the screen. I was wondering if it was possible to make that picture randomly generated so that it can feature more than one of my project. So that it would change every time someone visit the site.

Is that something that’s possible and if so, how could I do it.

Is it possible to have a randomly generated background

    No

There are ways on wp.com to have different backgrounds on posts, not random, and not simple. And with folks viewing your site on different devices with variously sized screens probably not worth the trouble.

One idea would be to change the background yourself, as often as you like.

A better idea would be to use a text widget with images of your favorite posts (linking back to those posts) or the “top posts and pages widget” which shows a featured image with a link to the posts and pages your readers see most often.

The background image doesn’t really convey the idea (to me IMO) that there are posts with that picture there…

Sorry, different backgrounds on posts is not difficult. But the background image behind the posts is difficult. On some themes it won’t work very well and I don’t think a CSS upgrade would help much. And as I said, it would not be random.

Unless some other volunteer has another idea. But it wouldn’t be random.
