Is it possible to have a static home page and another page function as a blog?
-
Hi! I would really like my website to have a static homepage and to have a second page that I can use as a blog. Does anyone know how to do this? Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m not sure if there’s a more elegant way to do it, but if you create a category called “Blog” and put all your posts in that category, you can add that category to your menu as a page so all your posts in the “Blog” category show up there. (You can assign more than one category to a post, so this won’t mean you can’t put a post in another category at the same time, if you so choose, in order to organize your posts.)
To do this, first create a new category called “Blog” (or whatever you want your blog page to be called), then go to Appearance > Menu and add the category to your menu.
If you don’t have the checkbox selected that uses that menu as your primary navigation, check it. (My checkbox says “Primary Navigation”.) It’s on the same page.
Let me know if this helps!

Hi there! You can make your front page a static page of your choosing in Settings>Reading Settings.
