Is it possible to make a customized search within the website?

  I am not sure if WordPress.com can handle this, maybe I need to turn to WP.org if no work around:

  In the page, I want to have several checkboxes plus a search button, based on the selection of those checkboxes, the search button returns the result in another page, or in the same page, result will be in grid/table with html content

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yes you can can install Javacript widgets into WordPress.org self hosted installs. They are free standing so the only security at risk is the security of your own install. Here at WordPress.com we are all on the same multiuser blogging platform and once bad script could bring down many blogs. That’s why the software strips the code out.
