Is it possible to make a page appear in the Academica Slider?

  I was wondering if it is possible to make a page rather than a post appear in my Slider.

  When I create a post I get the option to place a “tag” which allows me to have that post appear in the slider rotation. However, when I create a page the “tag” option is not available. Is there a work around or solutions to this? If not, is there a way to have my posts show up in my main navigation?
