Is it possible to place a link anchor on a page in WordPress (like can be done in Adobe Muse)?
-
No problem but I would like to place a link anchor toward the bottom of content on a page and be able to quickly access this place on the page via a hot-link button at the top (or vice-verse).
Please advise.
Thanks for your help!

Hi there!
Basically you’ll need to and ‘id’ attribute to the HTML of whatever section you’re linking to, then you can add the link to that section wherever you’d like.
For example, let’s say you wanted to link to the “A brief background” section of your About page:
Edit that About page, then select the Text editor.
Notice the HTML here:
<h2>A brief background prior to 1985:</h2>We’re going to add the id attribute to this h2 tag:
<h2 id="background">A brief background prior to 1985:</h2>Now, instead of linking to the about page here:
just http://steverugg.com/about/
You could use a link to that ID specifically:
http://steverugg.com/about/#background
You can use that link in your Nav menu, in a widget, on another website entirely. But in your original question it sounds like a widget would be best. :)
Let me know if you hit any snags adding similar IDs around your site.
Best,
-Alex G.
