Is it possible to put a widget inside a page or post?

  I want to place some widgets on my (fixed) home page (not on sidebar). Is it possible?

  No. What did you want to do? Maybe there’s a workaround that will do the same thing.

  Just do a cleanup on the sidebar, moving some of the widgets to the front page, like “archives”, and adding new (bigger) ones like tags cloud, last comments, last posts and so on…

  No, but you can put archives on your front page if you want. Just put them in like a post instead.
