Is it possible to remove a follower or block one from future activity on my blog

a number of them are obviously “spam” or commercial come-ons, and they are annoying.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

My blog has always been private; yet the infamous “Emily” is now a spam follower. Could you please delete her from my followers ? Many thanks !

I tagged this thread for Staff so they know this “Emily” a spam follower is still at it. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. Note there is a backlog so you will have to wait patiently for Staff help. To subscribe:

We do not remove followers from sites. If you’re concerned about the follower Emily, please see my responses here:

If your site is private, no followers will receive updates. Only users listed in your dashboard under the Users tab.
If your site is public, spam comes with the territory. If you’re getting continual spam comments from particular users, try blacklisting their usernames, email addresses, or IP addresses:
