Is it possible to remove the ‘ leave a comment’ from the homepage?

For example, the site http://litips.wordpress.com/ has removed this option from his homepage.

    Thanks in advance!

Yes, it’s possible. We can all close our blogs to comments. This is the main page for doing that. It’s where the deaults are set. > Settings > Discussion We can all set any post or page to disable commenting. However, if after disbaling comments you still see a phrase like “leave a comment” then hiding it from displaying on your blog requires a CSS editing upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/

Changes in the default settings will apply to whatever you publish after the change, not to pages/posts already published. To disable commenting on a published page, you need to go to the page editor, uncheck the options “Allow comments” and “Allow trackbacks and pingbacks on this page” in the Discussion module, click Update.
