Is it possible to remove the "Meta" and "Blogroll" categories from the sidebar?

  Is it possible to remove the “Meta” and “Blogroll” categories from the sidebar? I am somewhat confused about how the sidebar works – I currently have no active widgets and so do not understand why all of the content in the sidebar of my blog is there.

  Hi there,
  Every theme has a default sidebar display of what appears to be actual widgets but isn’t. We can override that by choosing the widgets we want to use and installing them.

  Go here > Appearance > Widgets and select widgets you want to use one at a time. Click to open widget, configure, click “save”, click “close”.
