Is it possible to set an auto delete for posts?

  Is it possible to set a date and time for a post to expire? The idea is that we want to make sure that once an event we are publicising has occurred that post will automatically disappear from the site (go to trash or simply go off-line)?
  We use The Twenty Ten Theme, is such a thing theme dependant? Thank you!

  That is not functionality that WordPress.com offers I am afraid. It is possible that there is a plugin for a self-hosted WordPress.org site that would offer an auto-delete feature. And if one exists, you might consider moving to a self-hosted site if it is important enough to your site plans.

  Thank you for your rapid reply Rootjosh. While it would be nice, it is not important enough to go to a self-hosted WordPress.org site. It is way above my pay grade.

  Should you change your mind in the future, I assure you that WordPress.org isn’t THAT much more complicated than WordPress.com. There are a few aspects that take some additional knowledge. But it’s more like a step up rather than a leap.
