Is it possible to set up a sandbox with the Premium Plan?

    I want to test things and see how they look prior to committing to the domain name (e.g. have a ‘Under Construction’ page on the domain name, while experimenting in, say, domainname.wordpress.com.

    Similarly, once launched, I would like to be able to experiment in the same manner and commit the changes with one-click.

    It looks like I would have to get the Business Plan, download a local sandbox and then upload via SFTP.

    Hi there,

    We don’t support sandboxes/staging sites on any plan, no. But you are correct that with the Business Plan you’ll be able to upload content from a local sandbox via SFTP.

    For experimenting with new themes/features, I just use a private test site in my account to which I import some content from my actual site. Once I’m happy with things on the test site, I then manually copy over the settings on my live site.
