Is it possible to show Category Description on the Category Archives?

  As you know, there is a “Description” field under each Category.

  There is a note under the Description field:
  The description is not prominent by default; however, some themes may show it.

  In my current theme, the description of a category is not shown.
  Is there any way to show it?

  Not using CSS only, adding content that doesn’t already exist on the page and can’t be added to all posts/pages using a sidebar widget such as a text widget would require editing the theme code and WordPress.com does not offer that option. Using CSS, you can change the appearance of anything that you can see on the page but you can’t add new, dynamic content.
