is it possible to upload a .txt file to the root directory of my website?

  Technorati needs a .txt file to be uploaded to the root directory … is that possible?

  Hi there,

  I’m afraid that it is not possible to upload any file to the root directory of your WordPress.com account. There are a number of other means by which you can verify your account (such as by creating a unique CNAME), however creating a file is not one of them.
