Is it possible to use a .ca domain with WordPress.com?

    FYI: I was just able to order bhdavis.net. I may come up with a new/different domain name in the future, but this works for now.

    So as of right now, this function is working again – and no, it seems as though this system does not let you use .CA domain names.

    You can use .ca domain names, and most other international domain names, with WordPress.com. There are several hundred .ca blogs hosted here.

    You can’t register them through WordPress.com – com, net and org are the only available options – but if you register a different domain name elsewhere you can use it on your wpcom blog with the Domain Mapping upgrade. You need to set the name servers yourself according to the instructions here:

    Some international domains require intervention from staff for boring and complicated technical reasons. If your domain registrar’s administration tool won’t let you use the WordPress.com nameservers you’ll need to contact support staff so we can make it work.
