    HI there,

We currently have our site through amazon webstore. We need to stay with amazon because we use them for fulfillment.

However, i’d like to move our content pages to wordpress for ease of use, ability to make changes more often, seo, etc.

is it possible to have our site through wordpress, but then our cart through amazon?

if so, anyone familiar with how to do this?

Thanks in advance for your help!

If you are trying to set up an Amazon Store that’s a no go on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. We cannot post any iframes on free hosted WordPress.com blogs. The software will strip the code out to preserve security as this is a multiuser blogging platform.

The only exceptions to the affiliate links policy > http://en.support.wordpress.com/affiliate-links/ are found here in italics under blogs that are not allowed:

Affiliate marketing blogs: Blogs with the primary purpose of driving traffic to affiliate programs and get-rich-quick schemes (“Make six figures from home!!”, “20 easy steps to top profits!!”, etc). This includes multi-level marketing (MLM) blogs and pyramid schemes. To be clear, people writing their own original book, movie or game reviews and linking them to Amazon, or people linking to their own products on Etsy do NOT fall into this category. Here is a thread in the support forums that talks more about which affiliate links are OK or not OK. http://en.wordpress.com/types-of-blogs/

WordPress.com now allows us to insert our own text affiliate links within post and page content, as long there is an actual blog, and provided they are within the context of the post or page. These can link to Amazon or other third-party affiliate programs.

Image affiliate links, and any affiliate links in widget areas, are still considered to be ads and are not allowed on WordPress.com. If you want to run ads on your blogs, see the WordAds program: http://wordads.co

The only things you can sell on WP.com blogs are products that you, yourself create and/or services that you personally provide. Our free hosted WordPress.COM blogs cannot be equipped for eCommerce transactions. For a fully equipped for eCommerce site, you will need an independently hosted blog using WordPress.ORG software.

For your selling your own creations see http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/

If and only if you are marketing only what you personally create and have a online shop with a shopping cart somewhere else online you can create a custom menu and add a custom link to it.

Thanks everyone for your responses. So just to clarify….my store is hosted by Amazon but it is my own url. I buy products wholesale and sell to end-users. WordPress is not something I could use to link to my store, even if it’s just a blog? for example – http://veryrosenberry.com/

I would have to use wordpress.org – could anyone tell me how that differs from wordpress?

Thanks again for your help! This is all very new and your responses have been very informative.

As @TT noted, it does not look like your blog would work here – does not matter about the name – you would be on WordPress.COM servers and that means the WordPress.COM Terms of service apply
