Is it possible to wrap text inside a table without splitting words?

  I’m using the Portfolio theme which has a full page width of 860px. I’d like to break up text in two columns (430px each) – when I place text inside the cell, the text wrap function cuts off words so the text:

  when a visitor browses a
  WordPress.com blog

  appears like this:

  when a visitor browses a Wor
  dPress.com blog

  Is there a way to wrap text inside a table without splitting words?

  white-space: break-word – doesn’t work – I tried this and several other tags but none seem to work. thanks!
