Is it safe to delete an old blog after exporting it to a new one?
-
I recently exported all of my WordPress.com blog content to another WordPress.com address that I previously used. Now that I have exported my blog back to the original address, I now have two identical blogs. Is it safe to delete the one I no longer want to use or would this affect my new blog or cause me to lose all of my media files?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
This would not affect your new blog or cause you to lose all of my media files.
However, please read the warnings and advice before deleting a site, as we can’t revert a site deletion for any reason.
If you want to hide your site instead, you can use the following guide to make your site private so only you and other members of the site can view it when logged in:

All of the blog posts and media library files have transferred to the current address, so it’s OK to delete the old one? I don’t need my followers to be following the wrong blog.

Make sure you move your followers before deleting the site:

Yeah that’s one thing I didn’t know how to do before I deleted it, so I lost all 40 of my followers. I wish I had seen that link before. Oh well.

I can still move them for you. Just to be sure, give me the site that you want them moved from and to and I’ll take care of it for you.
Thanks,

The deleted site is http://thismermaidslife.wordpress.com and the new site is http://floridianmermaid.wordpress.com

Hey there,
I have moved over all your subscribers from http://thismermaidslife.wordpress.com to http://floridianmermaid.wordpress.com. It should be completed soon.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Happy blogging!
