Is it worth blogging?

Even after 3 months of blogging, I feel it is becoming hard to reach out to a wider audience.
The pandemonium persists with a sonic-wall in our college wi-fi server, most of the sites through which I can market are blocked.
I think this whole blog thing is taking me no where.
Is there any any light at the end of tunnel?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Well, if you are stuck behind some “big brother” draconian firewall, it might be hard, but I’m sure there are some internet cafe’s and such around the college aren’t there?

yup there are …but personally i feel atleast a min of 4-6 hrs are required to understand the whole blog thing…time remains a constraint to me..

If you are attempting to use a wordpress.com blog to do e-marketing, then yes, you are wasting your time.
If you just wish to blog, but believe 4-6 hours out of your life to learn how is too many, then yes, you should just stop.

I just started a blog of my own and find it not as easy as I thought. What is the best way to learn, through tutorials here or find someone who has experience who can show you? I am blogging about retirement by the way. I was going to put some affiliate links on wordpress. Can you make some money that way?

Back to the original subject, if you need to ask “is it worth blogging” then you are probably not ready for it.
Perhaps at a later date when you aren’t preoccupied with other things.

I don’t blog for money, and quite truthfully I no absolutely loath any site that has ads on it, no matter how good the content, which is why I installed adblock on my browsers back when it first came out. I don’t see ads, and if one happens to sneak through, I just zap it and never see it again.
Adblock plus has been downloaded 102,791,386 times, and that number was at 93 million just a few weeks ago. People are tired of seeing ads and then are doing something about it.
Selling or pushing get rich quick advertising or MLM schemes on wordpress.COM will end with your blog being deleted for violation of the TOS. I’m just warning you because they get zapped here all the time.

@raincoaster—-a nice thought…i am already in d process of implementing it..but end of the day its a learning curve and i reckon only patience clubbed with hope can take my ship to shore.. :-)
