Is it worth it to move to WP.org just to use SEO-All-In-One plugin?

I have recently started my blog on wordpress.com and purchased the url and domain mapping through wordpress.com at the same time. Shortly afterward, I found out about the SEO-All-In-One plugin. I don’t know much about SEO, although I’ve been reading some different tutorials. If this plugin will do everything, I’m thinking that perhaps I should move to wordpress.org. I know I have to wait 60 days since I recently registered the url, and I have seen this http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/. My question is: is it worth it for me to move to wordpress.org just to use that plugin? Any advice or thoughts greatly appreciated. I’ve never done any optimization before, and I’ve never owned a website before, so I’m just trying to figure out the best way forward to get good page ranks.

There are many reasons to move to wordpress.org, however, I don’t believe that SEO is one of them, WP.com does a good job at SEO without your help.

Wp.com is really, really good with SEO by itself. Even with that plugin, you’ll notice a difference. Also, you wouldn’t be in the global tag pages – which brings in a surprising amount of your visitors. You’ll also loose a lot of the features your used to seeing here – such as some custom widgets.

I believe tbol3 is suggesting to stay with wp.com. I’m not understanding wpadvanced – are you also suggesting to stick with wp.com? Thanks again to everyone who has feedback on this decision. My goal is page rank and visitors.

    WordPress.com blogs are SEO friendly.

It would not be worth it to move to .org.

Unless you want control over HTML/CSS/Themes, and advertising.

You would have to pay for hosting if you moved to .org.

If you want more traffic use social networks like stumble upon, orkut, linked in, and twitter.

Comment on other blogs (you must be interested, spam is never fun).

If your content is great then people will eventually find your blog.

WordPress.com blogs generally have more SEO than the AllInOne plugin can add to an external blog. In short, you would lose out on SEO benefits by doing the move.

Also I recommend adding a social bookmark bar to your post so your readers can pass on your posts to reach a higher audience.

Here is a popular Social bookmark bar site used by many of the WP.com members. (The service is free to use)
