is media a reserved word?
-
Hi, I am trying to create a page, named “media”, in which I list interviews with media. The problem seems to be that when I post the page, it gives me a list, my month, of my posts.
I suspect that calling the page “media” is the origin of the trouble. So I have two questions
a) how can I find out what page names are not allowed?
b) Is there a workaround, other than the simple but annoying strategy of calling the page differently? Thanks!

Shouldn’t be happening, but anyway such problems have to do with the page slug (the editable part of its permalink), not the title, and those two don’t have to be the same. So go to Pages > All Pages, hover under the page title, click Quick Edit, change the slug to any combination of words separated by dashes (for example “media-interviews”), click Update.

Thanks to both of you.
I tried changing the name, no success…
I will try to contact support directly.
But thanks for your time!

Solved!
For some reason, the page was listed as archive. It had nothing to do with the name.
It is solved now, and it appears nicelythanks

Ah yes – sorry we didn’t think of that other possible reason (Page Attributes > archives instead of default template).

Obviously you’re not an idiot at all, and you’re welcome, although in this case we don’t deserve your thanks!
