Is my blog backed up

I’m a bit confused about self-hosting. I thought my blog was still hosted by wordpress, even though I have my own domain name which I have linked to it. This means I am not sure if it is being backed up automatically or if I should be doing something myself. Can anyone advise me please?

http://vohnmcg.com/ – is hosted on WordPress.COM – they have three massive server farms in three different locations so your blog is backed up on the fly so to speak and they also do regular backups of the blogs to some different system.
Many people however like to keep copies of what they write on their own PC – if you want just the text in a sort of hard to read by humans – you can export your blog to an XML file to capture all the text
