Is my blog being hacked?
-
My number of views today is way down and I’ve just posted a very controversial post. I think someone is hacking intothe blog? Can you help? Malia Litman [redacted]
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is no phone support here so do be aware of that. If you are sure your stats need to be investigated then you need to be specific and post details here so Staff know exactly which stats you are referring to when they get to this thread. You also need to type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread to get Staff attention.
Note that you can post screenshots and share them with Staff. You can use http://snag.gy/ to share screenshots so Staff can examine them.

If anyone is posting anything to your blog or removing anything from it, or if your blog has been deleted and you did not delete it, then it’s most likely that you have provided them with the ability to do so, either deliberately by adding them as official users, or by allowing them access to your login information, or by posting content that makes it easy for them to guess what your log-in information is.
Rhetorical question: Who, aside from you, has access to your login information?
Go to your email program and change the password to a very difficult one because that’s how many hackers gain access to blogs

1. If you can log-in go here > Users > All Users and delete any user that does not belong there.
2. Disable post by email > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-email/
3. Disable post by voice > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-voice/
4. Change your blog password to a very difficult one > http://en.support.wordpress.com/passwords/#change-your-password
You can also reset your password via your Settings tab on the WordPress.com home page:
http://wordpress.com/#!/settings/5. Use a secure, encrypted connection to connect to your Dashboard. Under Users → Personal Settings, check the box that says “Always use HTTPS when visiting administration pages, and click Save Changes.
6. Use two step authentication http://en.support.wordpress.com/security/two-step-authentication/

How do I change the password?
It’s the number of views that I am sure is wrong. It hasn’t been this low ina bout three years, and given the recent story it should be more views rather than less. -

Hi!
If you feel as though your login information has been compromised, I would suggest changing your password and enabling Two-Step Authentication as Timethief mentioned.
I don’t believe your stats are down due to a compromised account however. While the numbers are on the low side of your average, they’re not out of range. I believe this is just the result of normal fluctuation within your stats!
