  I created this blog on about 10th June. I know it can take 4-6 weeks before a blog is indexed by google. I have done all I can to speed it up. But it is now nearly six weeks. Getting a bit frustrated I checked my blog with http://ismyblogworking.com/

  This confirmed that by blog is working but is not indexed by google. However, it also said that it is a self-hosted blog.

  I have several .com blogs such as
  http://colourmatlab.wordpress.com/

  I used to have colourware.wordpress.com but I migrated this to colourware.org (a self-hosted blog). When I created http://millenniumgirlseries.wordpress.com/ I intended it to be a wordpress.com blog. I thought it was. Somehow I have ended up with a self-hosted blog (which I don’t understand because it has a wordpress.com address).

  Does anyone know what could have happened? How can I know for sure if it is a wordpress.com blog or a self-hosted blog? Is there anyway that it can be converted to a wordpress.com blog if I have inadvertently made it a self-hosted blog?

  As for the http://ismyblogworking.com/ information it’s not accurate for my blogs either. It stopped being accurate some time around April.

  For example: http://ismyblogworking.com/onecoolsitebloggingtips.com
  states my blog is not indexed by Bing or Google and that’s not true.
  the blog has a pagerank of PR: 5 and 3,030 indexed entries.

  Another example: http://ismyblogworking.com/thistimethisspace.com states my blog is not indexed by Bing or Google and that’s not true.
  the blog has a pagerank of PR:4 and has 1,900 indexed entries.

  It also states your blog is a self-hosted WordPress blog.
  For support please visit WordPress.org. In fact the blog is hosted by WordPress.COM and hasn’t been a self hosted blog now for many years.

  I’ll tag this thread for Staff so they will address the fact that http://ismyblogworking.com/ information its not accurate and have the developers fix it.

  Hi there!

  A more reliable way to check if your blog is indexed by Google is to do a quick search for your blog address in this format:

  site:myawesomeblog.wordpress.com

  When I did this for your blogs, I was able to confirm that your WordPress.com blogs are indexed:

  colourmatlab.wordpress.com – http://goo.gl/zogdhB
  millenniumgirlseries.wordpress.com – http://goo.gl/HFB8q8

  In addition, I can confirm that your sites are WordPress.com blogs, not WordPress.org ones. :)
