is my blog deleted

I deleted my blog @colinfmcqueen because of problems and (I thought) started a new one @colinmcqueen. However, when I log in it still uses the colinfmcqueen log in and despite the fact that I can still work on and, it appears publish blogs, the url is listed as deleted if I try to find it. Do I need to scrap altogether and start again?

It’s possible to have multiple blogs associated with one account (colinfmcqueen). It sounds like you created the new blog using the original account – colinfmcqueen, so you’ll continue to use that login to work on the new blog.
That being said, I can confirm I see a deleted blog message when visiting colinfmcqueen.wordpress.com
And I can also confirm that I see a blog when I visit colinmcqueen.wordpress.com, but I’m unclear if this is the blog you started or if it belongs to another user with the name @colinmcqueen who’s been registered as a user for 6 years.
The blog link colinmcqueen.home.blog doesn’t do anything, so it may help to know what your new blog URL is to assist you further.
In the event you want to get your colinfmcqueen blog back, it’s possible to reverse that as long as it’s been less than 30 days since you’ve deleted it. You can read more here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/
When you deleted the account, you should have received an email confirmation. There should be a link in there to contact WordPress directly about restoring the account. *Note– be sure to use the email associated with the account you wish to recover when responding to them.
If you no longer have the confirmation email you’ll likely need to fill out the Account Recovery Form.
