Is "My Community" widget available for independently hosted WordPress sites?

  I’ve looked for the “My Community” widget under Appearance >Widgets and it’s not there nor does it come up when I search for it in the plugins.

  Is it because my WordPress site is hosted elsewhere and not by WordPress?

  The Jetpack plugin inclusions are found here http://jetpack.me/
  What’s available for self hosted sites will be found here http://wordpress.org/plugins/
  If you do not see that widget then it’s only available as an in-house WordPress.com widget.
